Phonemes in sonic-3 are written between <<>> double angle brackets, and separated with | bars. For example, Cartesia is written <<k|ɑ|ɹ|ˈ|t|i|ʒ|ə>>. The easiest way to figure out the IPA phonemes for any given word is to use our Phoneme tool, which can give guidance in phoneme creation.

Manually creating phonemes
